Sustainable Maryland

Archaeology and Historic Preservation Lab
The Historic Preservation Program’s Archaeology and Preservation Laboratory is committed to producing high quality research on the material culture of the past, from standing structures to buried artifacts. The interpretation of the past requires careful consideration and analysis to open up new understandings and develop new lines of inquiry.
Galleries and Exhibits
Located on the lower level of the Architecture Building near the auditorium, the Kibel Gallery offers dynamic, engaging exhibits on design, architecture and the built environment during the fall and spring semesters. It is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is free.
