Home Mentoring Programs

Guidance, Growth and a Community Behind You.

Through peer collaboration, faculty guidance, and alumni engagement, our mentorship opportunities give students the confidence, perspective, and professional connections to succeed in the built environment.

Architecture Mentoring Programs

The Architecture Mentorship Program aims to foster conversations, guidance and opportunities for students in supportive settings. After a successful pilot in 2023, the Architecture Program offers these initiatives to all undergraduate and graduate students in 2024, emphasizing mutual respect, collaboration, and valuing diverse perspectives.

Professional Mentorship

Students are paired with professional mentors from local, national, and international firms and universities for one-on-one mentorship over a semester. Discussions cover navigating architecture school, career opportunities, design conversation, portfolio critique, and current trends. Meetings are mostly virtual and occur bi-weekly.

Peer-to-Peer Mentorship:

Students form mentorship pods led by a graduate student, including undergraduate students at various levels. This structure promotes new connections, guidance, and a culture of mentorship and camaraderie.

Urban Studies and Planning Mentoring Program

Faculty mentors play a critical role throughout the graduate program experience. Mentors provide academic guidance as the student navigates his/her course of study, and provide professional insight and support as the student plans for his/her professional career. M.C.P. students are assigned a mentor during their first semester and typically meet once a semester to discuss progress and future plans.
