Mid-Atlantic Sustainable Breweries
UMD EFC’s Mid-Atlantic Sustainable Breweries Program offers free sustainability consultations to help craft brewers assess operations and implement practices related to energy, water, wastewater, air emissions, and cleaning and sanitizing – all while saving costs and improving brand recognition.

Designing a Resilience Action Plan for Maryland’s Coastal Communities
As Maryland’s coastal communities face increasing climate threats, including rising sea levels and severe storms, this initiative aims to strengthen the resilience of eight vulnerable coastal jurisdictions.

Building Climate Resilience in Prince George's County, MD
The Climate Wise Academy aims to strengthen climate resilience in Prince George’s County, Maryland. This program supports local climate preparedness through training and capacity building for Green Teams and community members. The project will enhance local climate resilience by developing a comprehensive climate-specific training curriculum and toolkit.

Prince George’s County Climate Action Implementation and Programmatic Support Services
EFC is supporting the Prince George’s County Department of Environment in their effort to develop and adopt a County Climate Action Plan (CAP). Training and Technical Assistance for Small Public Water and Wastewater Systems

Residential Action Framework & Stormwater Outreach Campaign, City of Gaithersburg, MD
Through its Sustainable Maryland program, EFC is working with homeowners and civic associations (HOAs/CAs) in the City of Gaithersburg, Maryland. Ports of Wilmington, Philadelphia, and Virginia Dray Truck Replacement Program
The port communities of Wilmington, Delaware; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Hampton Roads, VA face some of the most severe air quality problems in the nation. Ground transportation of goods is a significant source of emissions that cause smog and other harmful air pollutants linked to multiple health and environmental problems. Climate Action Planning and Greenhouse Gas Inventories
EFC provides technical support in developing greenhouse gas inventories and climate action planning to University of Maryland System institutions. Previous and current work includes the University of Maryland Global Campus, University of Maryland Baltimore County, University of Maryland College Park, The Universities at Shady Grove, and Towson University. Delaware Tree and Climate Workshop
EFC partnered with the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) Division of Climate, Coastal, and Energy to plan and facilitate the Delaware Tree and Climate Workshop. This event convened partners from across the state to forge alignment around Delaware’s interrelated priorities related to forestry, urban trees, natural and working lands, and climate resilience.
