Looking for a spot to study or socialize? In addition to MAPP’s Library, the architecture building offers cozy nooks and lively spaces for students to gather or hole up for the final exam:
Student Lounge: Comfy couches and amenities available to all MAPP students. Located outside the Business Office, First Floor
Kibel Cubby: A quiet, sunlit spot for studying and conversation. Located on the Ground Floor outside the Kibel Gallery
The Drawing Board: MAPP’s newest student space for project collaboration, socializing and more. Located outside the Great Space, Ground Floor.
Linear Gallery: Tucked alongside the auditorium on the Ground Floor, the Linear Gallery offers ample desk space and a quiet setting.
Campus Resources
The University of Maryland offers a number of resources for students needing additional support, including mental health and wellness, food insecurity and emergency funds. Visit the THRIVE Center, part of UMD’s Office of Student Affairs, for a full list of support.
MAPP also has a food pantry cabinet available to students located in the Main Office, Architecture Building.

Bias Incident Support Services (BISS) Liaison
BISS addresses hate-bias incidents with trauma-informed care and educates on identity-based trauma.
