The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation’s international education tradition began in 1971 with a study tour of Europe and the Middle East. Since then, it has become a core part of the student experience, with faculty-led initiatives across the globe. Semester-long programs such as Maryland-in-Florence are offered, as well as summer and winter terms. In former programs students have studied in countries including Spain, Canada, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Thailand, Mexico and China.
