Current Students
Current UMD Students
If you intend to apply to the Bachelor of Arts in Real Estate and the Built Environment, sign up for a change of major. Major changes in an academic program can lead to an increase in the timeline to completion due to the sequential nature of courses. Students wishing to earn a double major or a double degree may need additional advising and coordination with the advising office of their other major prior to course registration.
Current REBE / BA Architecture Students
- Indicate interest to your advisor during your junior year
- Meet with the real estate development program director to get clearance; obtain a letter of acceptance
- Prior to starting your senior year, apply to the Master of the Real Estate Development (MRED) through the graduate school portal
**The Graduate School makes all final decisions on admission to the MRED program. Acceptance to the combined program does not guarantee admission to the Graduate School.

The Pre-Transfer Advising program provides support to prospective transfer students from two-year and four-year schools before they apply to the University of Maryland to complete an undergraduate degree.
