    PALS Projects Focus On Community Impact For the Fall 2023 Semester

    This fall, the Partnership for Action Learning in Sustainability program (PALS) has continued its efforts to solve Maryland’s toughest issues with the help of the university’s brightest students and faculty. Administered by MAPP’s National Center for Smart Growth (NCSG), PALS works to connect students in a variety of disciplines with real-world experiential learning while providing assistance to local Maryland jurisdictions for addressing sustainability issues.

A team from Columbia University beat semi-finalists from the University of Houston, Clemson University and the University at Buffalo with their case study of One Boerum Place in a juried, live competition at the University of Maryland (UMD).

    MAPP Alums Receive Top Honors at AIA PV 2023 Excellence in Design Awards

    Join Region III TCTAC Mailing List & Support Environmental Justice Initiatives

    On April 13, 2023, the EPA announced the TCTAC initiative, which aims to provide grant funding to eligible applicants for the establishment of technical assistance centers nationwide. These centers will offer critical support to communities facing environmental justice concerns, as well as their partners. In partnership with the DOE, the EPA has allocated $177 million to assist overburdened communities across the country.
