Alum Allison Wilson Earns AIA’s 2022 Young Architects Award

Home About News and Events News Alum Allison Wilson Earns AIA’s 2022 Young Architects Award
Allison Wilson

The American Institute of Architects has awarded Allison Wilson, a senior associate at Baltimore’s Ayers Saint Gross (ASG) and a 2011 M.ARCH alum, with a 2022 AIA Young Architects Award. The AIA Young Architects Award honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and made significant contributions to the architecture profession early in their careers.

A dedicated and talented architect, Wilson has established herself as a leader in sustainable practice and a fierce advocate for social justice, working closely with her colleagues at ASG to deliver inclusive, thoughtful and environmentally conscious designs. Wilson was ASG’s first sustainability director in 2017 and authored the firm’s first sustainability action plan, leading the charge in ASG’s efforts to achieve carbon neutrality in their interdisciplinary projects.

“Allison innovates, researches, teaches and encourages our teams to create designs that are beautiful, high-performing and inclusive,” said Luanne Greene, FAIA, president of Ayers Saint Gross, in her nomination letter. “She enables our clients to make long-lasting investments in the built and natural environment. She shares her knowledge with others, with colleagues across the country and works to strengthen our community by encouraging an inclusive pipeline of future designers.”
