PGCPS Workshops

Following a successful partnership with the 2025 workshop, Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) Department of Sustainability and Resilience (DSR) partnered with EFC to design and deliver PGCPS’s 3rd Annual Sustainability and Climate Leadership Summit at the Patuxent Research Refuge’s National Wildlife Visitor Center in Laurel, MD. The workshop convened PGCPS staff, partners, and local educational agencies to strengthen collaboration and information exchange on sustainability concepts, practical tools, and actionable strategies for integrating sustainability into daily operations and long-term planning.

EFC supported the effort from early planning through post-event evaluation. Working closely with the DSR planning team, EFC coordinated workshop logistics and agenda development, conducted a site visit to optimize room setup and participant flow, and helped align speakers and session roles. EFC developed a highly interactive agenda featuring structured peer exchanges, small-group discussions, and real-world examples relevant to K–12 operations, facilities management, capital planning, and climate readiness. On the day of the event, EFC also served as lead facilitator and MC to guide plenary and breakout sessions and ensure inclusive participation.

Following the workshop, EFC designed and administered a post-event survey and will provide a summary of participant feedback, key themes, and recommendations to inform future DSR engagement and training.
