Biography:

Janny Peng is the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration. She joined the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation in January 2024. She oversees the MAPP business services office providing financial, budget, human resource, and payroll support for the School. Janny began her career at UMD in the School of Languages, Literature and Cultures where she was the Assistant Director for Finance and Administration from 2017 to 2023. Prior to UMD, she worked for 16 years at the University of California, Berkeley, in various roles and units, including purchasing, payroll, research administration, shared services. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and has been to over 45 countries and all 7 continents.
