PALS Projects Focus On Community Impact For the Fall 2023 Semester
This fall, the Partnership for Action Learning in Sustainability program (PALS) has continued its efforts to solve Maryland’s toughest issues with the help of the university’s brightest students and faculty. UMD Students and Alumni Take Home Top Awards at 2023 AIA Maryland Awards

UMD Team Makes “Final Four” in HUD Innovation in Affordable Housing Competition
An interdisciplinary team of graduate students from UMD’s School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation has landed one of four finalist slots in the 2023 HUD Innovation in Affordable Housing Student Design and Planning (IAH) Competition, beating out interdisciplinary teams from some of the most formidable graduate-level programs in the United States.
