Location: Zoom

This event is part of the Fall 2026 Research | Practice Development Workshop Series. Faculty, researchers, staff and graduate students are all welcome!

Do you have a manuscript, grant proposal, dissertation, course project, or other writing that you want to move forward? Writing does not have to be a solitary activity. Join us for a practical conversation about WAGs and how they can help create community, protect writing time, and build accountability. During the workshop, you will be encouraged to consider one question: What do you need right now as a writer?

We will explore several types of writing groups, including:

  • Write Together — protect time to write
  • Accountability / Check-In — set goals and follow through
  • Feedback / Peer Review — get input on a specific piece of writing
  • Pomodoro / Writing Sprints — get started with focused blocks of time
