Speakers:

Dr. Iana Rufino  
Professor of Civil Engineering  Federal University of Campina Grande, Brazil. 

Dr. Adriano Paz 
Associate Professor of Civil Engineering  Federal University of Paraiba, Brazil

Dr. Iana Rufino from the Federal University of Campina Grande and Dr. Adriano Paz from Federal University of Paraiba, Brazil will share their experiences with community-based approaches, spatial mapping and hydrological modeling tools for understanding water-related hazards in urban vulnerable communities. 

We will meet in Room 1224 (Preinkert Hall Building) from 12 - 1 p.m. The second half is a workshop for students focusing on an introduction to "Flood Inundation Mapping with Digital Elevation Models”, delivered by Dr. Adriano Paz. The workshop will be held in Room 1224 (Preinkert Hall Building) from 1 - 2 p.m.. RSVP if you are interested in attending the workshop.
