University of Maryland Libraries Overview
UMD has eight libraries, including Architecture, Art, McKeldin, and Hornbake. Students can check out materials with their ID, and course readings are often reserved at Architecture or McKeldin libraries.
Graduate students should meet with their program advisor at least once every semester in advance of registration to review their progress and to plan their schedule for upcoming semesters. Incoming graduate students are encouraged to work directly with their advisor as they transition into their program and select courses for their first semester.
