Certificate Programs

The University of Maryland School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation offers certificate programs in urban design, historic preservation, and real estate development. The certificate programs are designed to compliment and run in tandem with other degree programs, offering added expertise in specialized aspects of the built environment.

 

Certificate in Real Estate Development
The Real Estate Development program offers a 12 - 21 credit graduate certificate of professional studies in real estate development. Read more about the Certificate in Real Estate Development.

Certificate in Historic Preservation
The Certificate in Historic Preservation is a 16 or 17-credit program consisting of four required courses and two electives from the student’s home degree program, selected in consultation with the HISP advisor. Read more about the Certificate in Historic Preservation.

Certificate in Urban Design
