Daniel Curry, AIA, LEED AP

DANIEL CURRY, AIA, LEED AP is a registered architect in the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Maryland. Before starting his own practice, Daniel was a Principal at Quinn Evans Architects (QEA). Previously, he worked for Ehrenkrantz Eckstut & Kuhn Architects (EE+K, now Perkins Eastman) and Moore Architects.

Daniel’s career focuses on the planning and design of community learning environments. He is currently collaborating with Perkins Eastman on the new net-zero Banneker High School in Washington, DC. Projects with previous firms include McKinley Middle School (QEA); Gallaudet University Living and Learning Residence Hall 6 (QEA); Dorothy Hamm Middle School (QEA); Benjamin Franklin Museum (QEA); Kramer Middle School (QEA); Yorktown High School (EE+K); Deanwood Community Center (EE+K); and Brightwood Elementary School (EE+K).

At the University of Maryland Daniel teaches an architectural seminar on architecture and urbanism and is an advisor to graduate thesis students. He has also taught design studios at the graduate and undergraduate levels. With fellow lecturer, Christian Calleri, he led the winter term study abroad program “The Andalucia Program - Urbanism, Gardens, Architecture, and Detail”.

Daniel is a past chair of the AIA|DC Committee on Architecture for Education. He has also volunteered with the Washington Architectural Foundation’s Architecture in the Schools program and served as an assistant site supervisor for Habitat for Humanity.

Daniel is a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Society for Architectural Historians.
