UMD Team Takes First Place in Affordable Housing Design Competition

An interdisciplinary team of graduate students from UMD’s School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation has landed one of four finalist slots in the ninth annual HUD Innovation in Affordable Housing Student Design and Planning (IAH) Competition 2022, beating out 28 teams from some of the most formidable graduate-level programs in the United States. One of the most challenging roles an urban planner must play is that of a soothsayer: prognosticating the future of a community in the face of almost impossibly unpredictable forces like climate change, the economy or a pandemic. Alumni Profile, Valentine's Edition: Chelsie and Ryan Rattanni
Over the past 50 years, MAPP has produced its fair share of power couples. In the fall of 2016, Ryan Rattanni and Chelsie Miller were added to the roster.
