Clearing Up the Runoff
Assistant Professor Marccus Hendricks, along with colleagues from the National Center for Smart Growth, the iSchool, the A. James Clark School of Engineering, Facilities Management and others will study stormwater runoff from campus into regional waterways using new outdoor sensors, which provide a real-time view of water quality and quantity as well as infrastructure performance on campus. Located on the western coast of Italy, Stabiae was a holiday mainstay for the Roman elite prior to the devastating eruption of Mt. The University of Maryland’s Environmental Finance Center (EFC) begins work this month on the region’s first Municipal Online Stormwater Training (MOST) Center, a web-based resource to help municipalities within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed access and implement innovative stormwater management techniques to improve water quality in the Bay. EPA awards University of Maryland’s Environmental Finance Center six-year grant
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has selected the University of Maryland as the recipient of a six-year award to expand the work of the university’s Environmental Finance Center (EFC).
