The National Landing Business Improvement District (BID) is seeking an analytical and data-driven individual to serve as the Planning & Development Intern. This newly created position will work in the Planning and Development Division and will support all aspects of the BID’s programmatic work in economic development, community planning, and placemaking. This role will also support extensive research and analytical endeavors for National Landing. The Planning & Development Intern will work closely with the team and will be responsible for the following primary responsibilities:
- Support team in the execution of large-scale research projects around Innovation Districts and Smart City development
- Provide research and data collection support for National Landing team and stakeholders
- Support publication efforts for all Development & Planning initiatives
- Provide editorial assistance for research publications and other written responses
- Inventory NL’s Office and Retail landscape
- Coordinate planning engagements with key stakeholders of NL
- Assist in urban analytics, map making, and data visualization
- Other duties as required

The National Landing BID is a nonprofit public-private partnership that serves as the place management organization for the National Landing neighborhoods of Crystal City, Pentagon City, and Potomac Yard. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision

• Currently enrolled or completed an undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited College or University
Part-time (may include evening meetings, and/or weekend community events). This is a paid internship ($20/hour) with approximately 20 hours a week commitment.
