ArchiNova is new entrepreneurial competition that seeks creative ideas from students for initiatives, organizations and businesses that positively impact society.
Architecture students have unique skills to solve complex problems, and to think both critically and creatively about larger issues that shape the built environment, its people and the planet. The skills students gain in architecture school can be leveraged in many different ways to address larger societal, organizational and business problems. This initiative creates space for discussion, in order to spark new ideas about the avenues of explorations that can govern a student’s future career pathway.
ArchiNova is a semester-long competition for architecture students, accepting proposals for a wide-range of entrepreneurial ideas from product design, business models focused on large scale issues adjacent to architecture, innovative community-based solutions, and more. Student submissions are evaluated by an expert jury, and the finalists are invited to an end of semester idea showcase after a series of mentoring discussions.
