School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation Graduation Reception

The University of Maryland campus-wide Spring 2022 Commencement will take place in-person on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 12:00 pm/noon at Maryland Football Stadium. (Students must arrive by 11:00 am).

Tickets are required for all graduates and their guests at the main ceremony and will be limited to 1 student and 6 guests.

Details are found on the Commencement website.

The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation Commencement Ceremony will take place in-person on Thursday, May 19 at 7:00 pm at the Dekelboum Concert Hall in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.

Due to the size of the graduating class this semester, and the addition of the Fall 2021 graduates, the MAPP Commencement will be ticketed for all guests. Students will be issued 4 tickets each for up to 4 guests. If you do not need all 4 tickets, please feel free to share the tickets you do not need with other students as there were many who wanted to invite more than 4 guests.

Remote Campus Viewing:

We understand many of you wanted to invite more than 4 guests. Unfortunately, 4 was the most we could allot to each graduating student. Please note we are currently exploring live-streaming the MAPP ceremony, and offering a location on campus where additional guests can view the ceremony on campus.

We will be hosting a brief reception (4:30 - 5:30 pm) for the graduating students, along with the GoldenTerps--Class of 1972-- and their respective guests at the Architecture Building's rear patio facing Mayer Mall.
