Lecture by Scott Standish, Executive Director, Lancaster County, PA Planning Department
BIOGRAPHY
A native of Lancaster County, PA, Scott Standish has been employed by the Lancaster County Planning Department (formerly Commission) for over 40 years. During that time, he has served in increasingly responsible positions that have given him the opportunity to work with the public, private, and nonprofit sectors to ensure that Lancaster County remains a great place to live and visit. Scott has served as the department’s Executive Director since February 2020. Prior to becoming Executive Director, Scott served as Interim Executive Director and Director for Countywide Planning. In his countywide planning role, he was responsible for leading a team of professional planners in preparing and implementing places2040 (the Lancaster County comprehensive plan) and smart growth strategies.
