The University of Maryland and the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation offer a wide variety of resources and support services for students. The School strongly encourages students to take advantage of these opportunities. The resources listed below are just some of the many resources available to University of Maryland students.   • Accessibility and Disability Services - provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals to ensure equal access to services, programs and activities sponsored by UMD.  

  • Office of Multi-ethnic Student Education (OMSE) - offers a variety of services and programs to enhance the learning experiences of undergraduate students. 

  • Academic Success and Tutorial Services - a resource for all students with a specific focus on serving students in "high-risk" courses. 

  • PeerTutors - an online tutoring platform for students to connect with volunteer peer tutors and mentors at UMD.

  • Tutoring & Academic Success Resources - This website guides students to tutoring services and a wide range of academic resources available on campus, from our peer institutions, and other non-university websites. Topics include: tutoring by subject, procrastination, time management, note-taking skills, test-taking skills, study skills, and much more!  

  • University Writing Center - offers three types of free tutoring: in-person, live online, and 24-hour-later feedback. The Writing Center is for student-writers at any stage of the writing process, from early brainstorming to a polished draft. Regardless of your skill level or academic discipline, the writing center is an excellent resource for you.

  • The Grammar Hotline - can answer questions on word choice, punctuation, sentence structure, or proper citation. 

  • Math Success Program - free walk-in undergraduate math tutoring. 

  • MathNet Test Bank - search for a particular exam or set of exams from both past and present semesters.

  • Math Tutoring Schedule - semester tutoring for specific math courses (ex. MATH113, MATH140, MATH220).
