Sr. Architect for Construction Administration

We are currently seeking creative and talented candidates with 8-15 years of professional experience in architecture, with strong construction administration and institutional project experience for a Sr. Project Architect position. 

Initially, you will be responsible for construction administration of a current project which starts construction in the spring of 2022.   This position will initially spend the majority time on the construction site.  After this project is complete, we plan that you will continue to work with us in a project architect role on all phases of new projects.

Responsibilities
  • Represent design team at construction site on continued basis.  
  • Collaborate with contractor, owner, and design team to promptly resolve conflicts during construction. 
  • Review and observe built work for conformance with the design drawings, and resolve discrepancies with the contractor. 
  • Conduct OAC meetings at regular intervals. 
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients during construction.
  • Deliver outstanding client service
  • Lead and coordinate with large consultant teams
  • Foster and participate in a collaborative professional environment
  • Serve as a mentor to junior staff
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant Architecture experience including research lab experience.
  • Preferred 5+ years experience as Construction Administration lead on institutional projects over $25M in cost  
  • Previous onsite construction administration experience required. 
  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • Previous experience with healthcare, higher education, or science and technology projects a plus. 
  • Fully competent in all aspects of architectural processes
  • Strong experience in technology-based CA process, using Autodesk BIM360 (or similar) software platforms to optimize construction administration/management work flows
  • Revit proficiency preferred
  • AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu proficiency preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates collaborative and professional work ethic
  • High energy and positive attitude is a must

 

Bachelor of Architecture degree is required, Master of Architecture preferred.

  • Registered Architect preferred
  • NCARB certificate a plus.
