Responsibilities

The following qualifications are essential to be considered for the position of Senior Architect/Project Manager or Architect Level I/II as noted below:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
  • Preferably licensed architect or at least eligible with an intent to obtain licensure as a Registered Architect within 3 years (Senior Architect/Project Manage) or 5 years (Architect Level I/II) in at least one state is required
  • A minimum of 10 years (Senior Architect/Project Manager) or 3 years (Architect Level I/II) direct experience in the development of design and detailing of building envelope assemblies, construction documents, and extensive construction administration experience on multi-family and mixed-use projects required. Experience in both wood-frame podium and concrete mid/high rise preferred
  • Previous building envelope design/consulting experience or experience in forensic investigation of roofs, fenestrations, curtain walls, plaza decks, and below grade waterproofing systems preferred. Similar experience in fire and sound-rated assemblies a plus.

  • Accessibility (ADA), PCA, and CLM service experience preferred
  • Construction document development experience with design software and experience with AutoCAD required
  • Research experience including historical preservation, construction technology, and code issues is highly preferred
  • Ability to develop scope of services and preparation of proposals strongly preferred
  • Strong computer skills and established experience with Microsoft Office software is required for this position
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills are required
  • Ability and willingness to safely work at heights and safely use and/or operate scaffolds, lifts and other access equipment (with training) as well as being able to lift and carry instruments and equipment up to 50 lbs. is highly preferred for this position
  • Various standard administrative tasks and architectural duties will apply to this position as required by projects
  • Some travel may be required dependent on project involvement and type
