Sample Associate

The Sample Associate will fulfill and process sample orders, accept incoming shipments, and perform an array of functions that may include receiving, storing, processing and distributing incoming and outgoing samples, materials and products, picking and filling orders from Sample Stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock; ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions and ensuring a consistent and smooth operation so that supplied are located and distributed properly in an effective and efficient manner to satisfy all internal and external customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains accurate sample inventory levels and ordering replenishment “sample stock”
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
  • Restocks supplies and inventory; places special orders as needed.
  • Receives, stores, processes and/or distributes all material, products, orders, stock, etc
  • Distribute items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
  • Processing inbound samples shipped from vendors
  • Daily processing of sample proposals
  • Pulling materials, preparing boxes, FedEx labels, etc.
  • Physically pull samples accurately
  • Place orders with vendors for material as required
  • Responsible for quality control of work being produced
  • Accepts, verifies, inspects and records all deliveries according to policy
  • Maintains organization level and cleanliness of the sample department
  • Maintain storage area by organizing floor space and recommending improvements
  • Handles complaints related to samples/shipments as needed, notifiers supervisor of any issues
  • Ability to communicate with and work well with customers, clients, sales support, sample clerks/associates, products specialist and sales staff
  • Ability to lift material not to exceed 70 pounds
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
