Project Designer/Architect

Landis Architects | Builders is looking for a talented Project Designer/architect ready to break free from the antiquated studio system. Our design process emphasizes creativity and independence, so designers develop concepts for clients and let their design skills shine. Additionally, we build 90% of what we draw, so you will see your designs become a reality. IDP Mentorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

1. Oversee projects from initial sale through final punch out

2. Provide leadership in the development of project documents

3. Review project program and explore buildable and innovative solutions

4. Develop client relationships

5. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural subcontractors

6. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Residential Project Designer/Architect with 3-5 years of experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
  • Excellent Revit, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign skills
  • Proficiency in Chief Architect is a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work with the Senior Leadership to develop vital design concepts and accurately document them in design presentations and construction documents
  • Experience with space planning, material selections, and codes in light-frame wood construction
  • Experience with the construction administration process in residential and light commercial projects
  • Excellent 3D graphic rendering skills
  • LEED accreditation (preferred but not required)
  • Progress toward Architectural Licensure (preferred but not required)
