Responsibilities

Common and baseline responsibilities of a PROJECT ARCHITECT, include but are not limited to:

Understands and consistently executes all aspects of the design process and project complexities to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.


Coordinates project documentation execution, construction plans, and details, ensuring quality control and completion.


Maintains awareness of evolving building technology and engineering systems relevant to project.
Understands and responds to technical implications and design decisions.


Reviews shop drawings, material samples, and construction documents for conformance with design.
Administers applicable agency review analysis (accessibility, zoning, life-safety, etc.).


Contributes to project marketing pursuits, proposal preparation, and interviews.


Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance and in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.


Participates and collaborates in design reviews, charrettes, and pin-ups.


Demonstrates strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance.


Mentors staff.


Coordinates effectively with partners and consultants.

Professional architectural license or 25 years of experience in the design profession.

Position requires a professional degree in architecture or related discipline.
