Program Associate/ Senior Program Associate

CPI is seeking two dynamic, highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated individuals to join our team. You will work in close cooperation with a range of national and international partners from the policy, finance, and corporate spheres, as well as with CPI teams throughout the world. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to build their career in the international development and/or climate finance arena.

Day-to-day tasks will include a range of activities: from planning and executing membership and external engagement events, to contributing to Alliance analytical products and action groups, to grant reporting and to providing updates to Alliance Members and stakeholders. Ultimately, you will play a crucial role helping CPI both shape and execute the Alliance as a high-impact and highly relevant initiative.

Responsibilities

Includes the following and others as assigned:

  • Under the direction of the Program Manager, draft and edit internal and external written products including emails, memos, meeting and event summaries, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters, and website content
  • Contribute to high-quality Alliance analytical products, including policy briefs, reports, and statements
  • Coordinate and organize external engagement events with Alliance members and stakeholders
  • Support the Program Manager on reporting requirements to the program’s funders as well as impact reporting 
  • Support the Program Manager in drafting grant proposals for expanded Alliance work
  • Communicate and collaborate with CPI staff working around the globe, including analysts, operations, and communications team members
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable professional experience delivering whole or part of a project, ideally in an international setting
  • Demonstrated experience communicating complex topics
  • Knowledge of cities policy environment, finance, and/or key climate finance issues is highly desirable
  • Undergraduate Degree in International Development/Affairs, Public Policy, Economics, Communications, Finance, Urban Planning (or related, relevant field) or equivalent professional experience. Graduate Degree desirable
  • Written and spoken fluency in English is required; other language skills desirable
