Planner/Urban Designer

DAVID RUBIN Land Collective seeks a Planner/Urban Designer with 5-10 years’ experience to join our studio!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, design-minded collaborator who represents the ethos and goals of the studio in both their temperament and their planning skills. Ideal candidates will have a Master’s degree in Urban Planning or Urban Design, and will be expected to perform a broad range of tasks within the studio.

Responsibilities

• Manage firm’s planning projects, client relationships, and portfolio
• Lead marketing efforts for planning projects, including lead identification, RFP/Q responses, and leadership of and participation in project interviews
• Business strategy + development targeting growth of planning portfolio
• Participation in professional development opportunities expected (speaking opportunities, conference attendance, continued education etc.)

Requirements

• Alignment with the ethos of Land Collective
• 5-10 years of work experience in planning and/or urban design
• Strong writing, communication skills
• Masters in urban planning or urban design preferred
• Demonstrable experience in urban design, placemaking, master/framework planning, campus planning, and/or transit-oriented development
• Minimum 3 years project management experience required
• AICP preferred

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, 3D modelling.
