Multifamily Green and Healthy Housing Financing – Lead Associate

The Green and Healthy Housing Financing team develops and markets green and healthy housing financing mortgage loan products for multifamily housing to drive positive environmental, social, and financial benefits. As a valued colleague on our team, you will support green and healthy housing mortgage loan product development and production, lead our multifamily healthy housing program, interact directly with external customers on deals, lead Lender trainings, and work extensively with environmental, health, and loan data to derive key business insights. 


THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The MF Customer Engagement – Green and Healthy Housing Financing - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Green and Healthy Housing Financing team and across the organization to develop, implement, and monitor customized business solutions to meet both Fannie Mae and customer goals and objectives.
  • Lead the Multifamily Healthy Housing strategy development and implementation, including mortgage loan product development, identification and collection of impact metrics, impact evaluation, and partner development and management
  • Provide subject matter expertise on green and healthy housing to internal teams and external customers.
  • Lead lender and borrower trainings on green and healthy housing financing products.
  • Work with Technology, Data, and Reporting teams to ensure that loan data is being accurately captured and reported.
  • Work with Communications and Legal to develop marketing and outreach materials for lenders and borrowers.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships across business units and/or customer accounts and strive to do what's right for our customers.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Experiences

  • 4 years


Desired Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred

  • Health, environmental, and/or sustainability related degree or experience preferred

  • Experience with resident services and/or healthy design principles in affordable housing settings preferred

  • Experience with energy and water efficiency, decarbonization, and renewable energy generation preferred

  • Experience in multifamily housing finance preferred

  • Experience with green and healthy building certifications, such as Fitwel, WELL, Enterprise Green Communities, Passive House preferred

    Relationship Management skills including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.

    Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Excel
