Landscape Sales/Designer Intern (Burtonsville, MD)
Established design-build landscape firm catering to both residential and home building clients is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to intern with our team.
This position will assist with both small- and large-scale projects and manage projects from the initial consultation and design phase through project management. Successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the landscape and hardscape industry. Knowledge of deck design and construction practices are a plus.
Job Requirements/Responsibilities:
Intern will be involved in the following:
• Communicate with clients to discuss needs and provide professional guidance.
• Site visits: measurements, pictures, etc.
• Develop conceptual designs and accomplish complex projects.
• Prepare (scaled) drawings and renderings.
• Calculation of labor, material costs and markups for each job (Gathering current pricing from vendors, negotiate pricing to meet both client and company needs).
• Oversee procurement of materials as well as scheduling and installation of projects.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in Landscape Architecture program.
