The Land Operations Associate is responsible for supporting the land team in all aspects of entitlements and project management.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities and Duties:  

  • Assist project team with rezoning and entitlement cases
  • Manage houseline engineering through home sales and construction, including preparation of lot fit matrices, and individual lot grading plans 
  • Work with members of other departments (acquisitions, finance, marketing, sales, architecture, production, etc.) throughout community planning and operations phases
  • Coordinate with consulting attorneys on land use deeds, easements, and formation of homeowners’ and condominium associations (HOAs) 
  • Coordinate homeowners’ and condominium associations (HOAs) and manage community management consultants from formation to turnover
  • Manage the review of homeowner architectural improvement applications 
  • Submit for and obtain project approvals from third party lending and warranty partners (FHA, VA, 2-10 HBW, etc.)
  • Manage performance bonds and escrows from initial posting through final release 
  • Assist with land development permitting activities 
  • Maintain company facing documentation on SharePoint and HomebuilderONE, including HOA disclosure packages, condominium Public Offering Statements, sales addendums, lot fit matrices, and lot grading plans 
  • Manage lot inventory in HomebuilderONE 
  • Support project team in management of engineering consultants with site plan preparation and approvals from preliminary plan to bond release 
  • Establish beneficial working relationships with industry and local government personnel 
  • Actively participate in building industry association chapters and municipal update meetings 
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by manager 
  • Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions and communications 
  • Adhere to company safety standards and help promote a safe working environment

Position Requirements: 

  • College degree preferred 
  • Minimum of 3 years land development or homebuilding industry experience
