Junior Architect/Interior Designer

Ritter Norton Architects, an award-winning architecture and interior design firm located in the heart of Old Town Alexandria, VA, is seeking a talented junior architect or interior designer to join our team. The designer will work on a wide range of commercial and institutional projects such as churches and synagogues, libraries, schools, and recreation centers as well commercial interior workplace projects for both government and private sector clients.

Responsibilities
  • Site Surveys
  • Developing Concepts and test fits
  • Presentation materials and 3D modeling
  • Construction documents
  • Material and finish selections
  • FF&E
  • Coordination of vendors and consultants
  • Assist with construction administration 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • 1-2+ years of experience
  • Be a thoughtful designer with a collaborative mindset
  • Strong graphic and presentation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational/planning skills and able to work effectively on multiple concurrent projects  
  • Technical skills to help produce construction documents and lead production on smaller projects
  • Strong proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office suite, SketchUp
  • LEED and WELL credentials a big plus!
  • Must be a US citizen and reside in the DC metro area
