Axis Architects is seeking an Entry Level Architect to join our team! We are looking for creative, motivated, and curious design talent with a passion for architecture and the built environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a young professional to gain experience being involved in all aspects of the architectural process and work with a multi-disciplined team on a wide variety of projects. Axis offers flexible work hours and the ability to partially work from home.
Responsibilities:
- Be part of a team-centric environment where you will work collaboratively with your team to develop projects from concept design through construction administration
- Work responsibly while receiving mentored guidance regarding project assignments and tasks
- Work efficiently to meet project milestones and deadlines
- Produce design drawings and construction documents
- Prepare presentation graphics and materials
- Participate in client meetings and design presentations
- Travel to project sites to measure and sketch existing conditions
Qualifications:
- A professional degree in architecture from an accredited program
- Work experience at an architectural firm is a plus, but not required
- Basic understanding of architectural design and construction fundamentals
- Technical proficiency utilizing Revit for working drawings
- Experience in developing 3D conceptual models using SketchUp
- Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communication and graphic skills
- Ability to problem solve, have attention to detail, and be motivated to learn
- Collaborative and team-conscious work ethic
- Ability to work a safely while field measuring existing homes and on construction sites
