Cultural Resource Management Office (CRMO) Manager

We are hiring a Cultural Resource Management Office (CRMO) Manager to lead our team, including day-to-day operations and activities! This individual will report to the Division Director.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and work direction to a Cultural Resources team with diverse responsibilities of CRMO requirements and policies, lab integration with management systems for development and implementation of the CRMO and the accurate and timely submittal of all contract CRMO results. These programs must be maintained and be implementable in an efficient and effective manner by all laboratory organizations.

Ensure the data management and curation for INL historic properties is maintained and recorded. Handle the transition from paper copies of these records to electronic formats.

NHPA Section 110 compliance and research for historic properties including survey, evaluation, analysis, data recovery, and report completion. Provide direction/guidance to CRMO staff to develop the strategy and advise on the historic preservation of the INL properties.

Use professional experience applying the theories, methods, and practices of Archaeology or Architectural History that enables professional judgments to be made about the identification, evaluation, documentation, registration, or treatment of historic properties in the United States and its Territories. Follow NHPA Section 106 compliance.

Qualifications
  • Masters degree in cultural resource management, Archeology, historic preservation or a related field. Must have qualifications outlined in the Secretary of Interior Guidelines and Standards for Archaeology and Historic preservation.
  • Preferred 15 years of full-time experience in cultural resource management (Ability to act as principal advisor in the manage of diverse cultural resources)Minimum 10 years experience as a leader and/or direct supervisory role.
  • Solid understanding of multi-discipline characteristics within the cultural resource profession (such as history, archaeology, historic architecture, landscape architecture, ethnography, museum studies, and archives).
  • US Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Security Clearance.

Extensive knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and guidelines regarding the preservation and protection of cultural resources

  • Historic Sites Act, as amended (moved to 54 USC 320101-320106)
  • National Environmental Policy Act, as amended (42 USC 4321, and 42 USC 4331-4335)
