Commercial Real Estate Senior Financial Analyst

The primary responsibility of the full-time position is to assist the loan production team in preparing financing request submissions for efficient and successful loan closings. Responsibilities

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication abilities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to calculate NOI, DSCR, Debt Yield, ROC, and IRR
  • Understanding of risk and return, credit metrics, time value of money, capitalization rates and discount rates
  • Expertise with spreadsheet modeling, graphic design layouts, and market research
  • Ability to analyze and size debt and equity for office, retail, warehouse, and multifamily transactions
  • Team player with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, problem solve and suggest solutions
  • Familiarity with commercial lease clauses, rent rolls, and operating statements

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing, underwriting and presenting cashflows for valuation and loan sizing
  • Researching, analyzing and presenting market and submarket data
  • Creating and finalizing high-quality Financing Request Packages which include a narrative description of the project, photos, maps, graphs, market data, financial underwriting and graphics
  • Maintain transaction pipeline database and lender database
  • Draft and produce a monthly capital markets update
  • Coordinating the due diligence processing for loan quotes, approvals and closings
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science or Arts degree (at a minimum). Preference for a degree in Economics, Marketing, Real Estate, Finance, or Business. 2-4 years of relevant work experience.

Computer Program working knowledge:

Microsoft Office 365, Graphic Design Software - Adobe InDesign, MS Publisher (or similar). CoStar and Argus familiarity is a plus.
