Asset Manager

Middleburg is expanding and seeks an Asset Manager to help optimize the performance of a growing real estate portfolio.  The right individual will help Asset Management to run and optimize an Investment Management platform to monitor portfolio performance, increase bottom-line cash flow, and ensure compliance with business plans.

There will be routine communication with senior and executive staff, and this position provides the right candidate the opportunity for advancement.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to property business plans from all stakeholders.
  • Recommend revenue management strategies for portfolio assets.
  • Conduct site visits and notes operational and physical areas for improvement.
  • Work with the development and acquisitions team and others to identify and evaluate ROI opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Collect monthly data/reports from various sources and refine them into actionable reports.
  • Collaborate with the asset management team and other departments to prepare regular presentations and reports for executives, investors, and owners of properties.
  • Support the annual budgeting process.
  • Monitor Real Estate Taxes and manage annual challenges through consultants.
  • Perform market research and use insights to improve operational performance.
  • Special projects/project management as needed.
  • Opportunities to assist the capital markets team with ad-hoc projects such as property refinancing and dispositions.
  • Responsibilities will continually be expanded with demonstrated initiative, motivation, proficiency, and reliability. Exceptional candidates will be given the opportunity to advance quickly.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field with a preference given to MBA or MS graduates.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Multifamily Real Estate industry.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Familiarity with Realpage and Costar would be a bonus. 
  • The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
