ARCH2, Inc. has a full-time summer position (with the possibility for a short-term extension) for an Architectural Historian to assist with mitigation measures for historic properties in the City of Baltimore.
Responsibilities primarily include undertaking primary and secondary source historic research within the City of Baltimore and State of Maryland; conducting fieldwork to thoroughly describe historic buildings; and drafting HABS / HAER documents, in addition to working on other mitigation measures.
Candidates must have either a Masters in Historic Preservation or have completed at least one year of graduate level study in history, historic preservation, or a related field, and knowledge of and experience with the Section 106 review process.
The ideal candidate has strong research, analysis, and writing skills.
