Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, studies and recommendations for a specialized segment of the Architectural Discipline within the schedules and budget of an assigned project
  • May manage various size groups of architects, designers and/or specialists
  • Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic and working drawings to illustrate design solutions
  • Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables
  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of programmatic requirements
  • Develops planning and creative design concepts for projects Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups
  • Preparing contract drawings during all design phases
  • Working closely with a Senior Architect / Project Manager, independently preparing and presenting client focused design solutions to project team members
  • Manage various trades for specific projects (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, etc.) in-house or separate non-AECOM sub-consultants
  • May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • BA/BS in Architecture plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Architecture license is required for this position
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work

Preferred:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in the Architectural field
  • Current Security Clearance is a plus
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working on all phases of Architectural projects
  • LEED Accreditation is a plus
  • Strong Technical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Project production experience, including standards and regulations
