Architect Designer II

Responsibilities
  • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
  • Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic and working drawings to illustrate design solutions.
  • Preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Preparing contract drawings during all design phases.
  • Working closely with a Senior Architect / Project Manager, independently preparing and presenting client focused design solutions to project team members.
  • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
  • May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
Qualifications

Minimum

  • BA/BS in Architecture 
  • (2) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Security Clearance is a definite plus.
  • Experience with Rhino and Grasshopper Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Basic knowledge of Microstation is a plus Experience working on all phases of Architectural projects
  • The candidate should be actively pursuing licensure
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

  • Security Clearance is a definite plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills LEED Accreditation or actively pursuing accreditation is a plus
  • A couple years of full-time professional design experience, proficiency in the listed softwares
  • Works well in a team and on individual tasks
  • A desire to grow and learn in the next phase of their career.
