Seeking an architect with experience or training in historic preservation who enjoys working as part of a team and appreciates seeing historic buildings revitalized for a new use. Candidate should have interest in seeking licensing and growing with the firm. S/he should be collaborative, technically capable in Revit or willing to convert from current software with training in Revit. Ideal candidate should have some experience with construction documents and design capabilites. Rendering capabiilties a plus and interest in growing technologies utilizing LiDAR and drones accomodated. J-SA is firmly interested in efficiency, newest technologies and expanding growing knowledge base in documenting and evaluating existing and historic buildings. Travel to jobsites is also encouraged.
- professional architecture, interior architecture or master of architecture degree;
- historic preservation coursework or degree;
- four year degree in architecture plus 3-5 years of experience in architecture;
- interest in familiarization with NYS Existing Building Code;
- writing and communication skills;
- self-directed and motivated to excel; and someone who is
- organized and detail oriented.
