Lerner is seeking a full-time Capital Markets Analyst to support the organization’s Acquisitions, Development and Asset Management efforts, which includes underwriting and due diligence of potential acquisitions as well as financial analysis and reporting for the Lerner real estate portfolio. The Analyst will work closely with the organization’s multiple business verticals, while reviewing and analyzing opportunities across diverse investment strategies and asset types.

∙ Genuine interest in commercial real estate markets

Potential Responsibilities
∙ Draft investment memos/offering memos for equity investors and debt lenders
∙ Review and track investment opportunities
∙ Interface with brokers and maintain external relationships
∙ Underwrite potential acquisitions with a primary focus on multifamily, office and retail assets, which includes all relevant research, due diligence, and financial analyses
∙ Build financial models and pro formas (from scratch) on an as-needed basis
∙ Conduct financial reporting on office, retail, multifamily and hotel assets in the portfolio
∙ Synthesize market research to support underwriting and investment efforts
∙ Tour properties, which requires having transportation
∙ Perform other duties as assigned
∙ Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate
∙ Relevant Experience: 0-2 years' experience in commercial real estate with preference for private equity, investment sales, finance, and/or brokerage
∙ Conceptual Skills: Understanding of CRE development, acquisition and closing processes
∙ Hard Skills: Strong Excel financial modeling, and Microsoft Office Suite; ARGUS is a plus
∙ Soft Skills: interpersonal communications, managing relationships and networks, self-starter
