This Project was funded through the Partnership in Action Leadership and Sustainability (PALS). Students in the studio worked with Maryland National Capital Parks and Planning Commissions Historic Preservation Division, leaders of the Cedar Haven Civic Association, and leaders of the Town of Eagle Harbor, MD. The students created a heritage trail package that included a Heritage Trail with Map, a Trail Guide, a draft Audiotour, as well as creating layouts for themed informational kiosks, and 19 site markers. The Trail covers the history of the neighborhoods of Aquasco, Cedar Haven and the Town of Eagle Harbor, Maryland from settlement in the 17th century until the late 20th Century. The Heritage Guide, marker designs, audio tour and other research were shared with the MNCPPC for future use in documenting the history of Prince George’s County.
