Technical Support for Economic Analysis for Shoreline Management

The Environmental Finance Center is assisting the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), Division of Watershed Stewardship Shoreline and Waterway Management Section in developing a request for proposals for services to perform an economic analysis study for shoreline management. The project will support a review of existing studies and an analysis of bay and ocean beach replenishment. The analysis will determine or characterize the benefits of replenishment, costs of dredging and sand placement, and distributional effects with the primary goal of determining equitable cost-share for state, county, and local jurisdictions.
