EFC and the Sustainable States Network worked to advance the capacity of cities in 5 states to identify, develop, and implement energy efficiency policies to equitably reduce citywide energy consumption and advance local climate mitigation and resilience goals. The project 1) Educated city staff, elected officials, and environmental commission members in up to 150 cities in 5 states with a webinar/learning series; 2) Assisted webinar participants to identify a policy, program, or action to help meet city goals; 3) Assisted a subset of webinar participants to implement their identified policy, program, or action; and, 4) Developed a template for scaling across additional cities. The project goal was to enhance local capacity to efficiently and effectively implement energy efficiency policies.
