The School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation offers graduate assistantships each semester based on academic and professional qualifications. Students with graduate assistantships receive a stipend, tuition remission, an in-state tuition rate for additional credits, and the option to enroll in State health insurance.
Current minimum stipend rates can be found on The Graduate School website. Students may receive 5 credits of tuition remission per semester (10-hour graduate assistantship) or 10 credits of tuition remission per semester (20-hour graduate assistantship). Non-semester tuition remission rates (Summer and Winter) and other policies related to tuition for graduate assistantships can be found on the University Human Resources website.
The program also offers financial aid in the form of scholarships and awards. While some are awarded internally and at the discretion of the program, others allow students to apply for funds via an application portal called ScholarshipUniverse.
The Office of Student Financial Aid will be your primary source of information regarding loans and other types of aid. You should work directly with that office's expert staff to identify the kinds of aid that are available to you.
