Bachelor of Science in Architecture

The Bachelor of Science in Architecture is a four-year pre-professional program designed to seamlessly transition into the NAAB-accredited Master of Architecture degree, either at the University of Maryland or other institutions. It offers a rigorous architectural study alongside a comprehensive liberal education, blending general education with foundational and advanced courses in design, thinking, digital media, architecture history, and structures and building technologies. At the core of the program are  architecture design studios, where students learn to shape the built environment through the design of buildings in the public realm. Students can augment their education by electing to study abroad and/or pursue minors on topics such as construction project management or sustainability. Graduates either continue to the Master of Architecture program or gain professional experience before pursuing further studies.
