The Urban Equity Collaborative is inviting you for an Open House on Tuesday, October 3.
The Urban Equity Collaborative (UEC) is a University of Maryland initiative that employs an intersectional, multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to community-based research, action, and collective inquiry that upholds equitable university-community partnerships. Funded by UMD’s Grand Challenges Grants Program and housed within the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, UEC strengthens community-based institutions, leaders, and organizing around critical issues of urban inequality through community-based research and policy action.
Dr. Willow Lung-Amam, Associate Professor in the Urban Studies and Planning Program, Director of Community Development at the National Center for Smart Growth Research and Education, and Director of the Small Business Anti-Displacement Network, is Director of The UEC. Support Dr. Lung-Amam and this exciting new initiative!
