Ph.D. candidates Shenpeng (Frank) Zou and Binbin Peng have been awarded fellowships from the University of Maryland Graduate School for their outstanding efforts as scholars and contributions as graduate assistants. They are among an elite group of graduate and doctoral students to receive this honor, which provides them financial and academic support during their doctoral studies.
Frank Zou was one of 16 students to receive the Graduate All-S.T.A.R. Fellowship, honoring graduate students who are both outstanding scholars and outstanding graduate assistants. Binbin Peng is the recipient of the Graduate School Summer Research Fellowship, which recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding University of Maryland mid-career doctoral students. The Summer Research Fellowship provides doctoral students the opportunity to concentrate fully on their own scholarly activities and research for the duration of a summer, at a critical moment in their graduate studies.
